Construction Updates

• Through access to the alley will be closed week of 4/24. 
• Eastbound curb lane closure to continue on South Charles St.
• Week of 4/24 will be the final week trucks enter the project site through the alley.  

• Trucks and heavy equipment will continue entering and exiting the project site through the alley. 
• S Charles St East bound curb lane will be closed the week of March 20th. Uniformed police officer and traffic control supervisor will be present to direct traffic. 
• Temporary no parking will be in place to provide clearance for trucks on Hiawatha and S Bush Pl. 
• Alley will be shut down to through traffic the week of April 3rd with continued access to 999 Hiawatha parking garage.

• Rainier Ave and S Charles St curb lane closure times to shift to 9am - 5pm. 
• Concrete trucks to enter and exit the site through the alley Monday, February 20th. 
• Trucks to enter and exit the alley the week of February 20th exporting soil. A section of the South curb on S Bush St is a no parking zone. 

• Trucks will continue entering and exiting the project through the alley the week of March 13th. 
• The Eastbound curb lane on S Charles St will be closed to pedestrian traffic. 

• Seattle City Light will provide temporary power to 1130 Rainier Ave S and 900 Rainier job site on Saturday, February 11th. Expect traffic in alley. 
• 24/7 closure of Northbound curb lane on Rainier Ave S to continue the week of February 13th. Uniformed police officer will be present from 6-9am and 3-6pm. 
• Trucks and equipment to continue entering and exiting the job site the week of February 13th. 

• Rainier Avenue's right northbound lane will be closed from February 6th through February 18th with uniformed police officer directing traffic from 6-9am and 3-6pm. 
• Trucks to continue entering and exiting the job site on S Charles St and the alley the week of February 6th. 

• Rainier Ave and S Charles St sidewalks to remain closed the week of January 30th. 
• S Charles St eastbound lane to remain closed the week of January 30th from 9am to 5pm. Uniformed police officer will be present. 
• Trucks to continue entering and exiting the job site the week of January 30th. 
• Alley closure will occur Wednesday, February 1st and Thursday, February 2nd with continued access to 999 Hiawatha parking garage. 

• Drilling equipment to mobilize on site Monday, January 23rd. Equipment to enter the site from S Charles St. 
• Curb lane closure on Rainier Ave S and S Charles St  to occur the week of January 23rd from 9am to 5pm. Expect uniformed police officer, signage and traffic control devices to aid directing traffic. 
• Sidewalk closure to occur on Rainier Ave and S Charles St the week of January 23rd from 7am to 5pm. 
• Trucks to enter and exit the site through the alley the week of January 23rd. 

• Excavation to continue the week of January 16th. Trucks and equipment to enter and exit the site on S Charles St and alley.
• Concrete trucks to enter and exit the site Friday, January 20th. 

• Potholing and trucking in alley the week of January 9th. Expect alley closure with continued access to 999 Hiawatha parking garage. 
• Demolition of concrete slab under former 900 Rainier building the week of January 9th. Trucks and equipment to enter and exit the site from S Charles St. 

• Equipment to mobilize for trenching the week of December 19th. Alley will be closed on Monday, December 19th with continued access to 999 Hiawatha parking Garage. 
• Drilling equipment to demobilize the week of December 19th. 

• Equipment and personnel to mobilize on site for crane footing construction the week of December 12th. 
• Equipment to enter and exit the site for drilling auger cast piles the week of December 12th. 

• Augercast drilling to continue the week of 12/5. 
• Concrete & dump trucks to enter and exit the job site on S Charles St the week of 12/5. 

• Drilling equipment to mobilize on site Friday, November 18th through the week of November 21st. 
• Drilling to begin the week of November 28th. 

• Trenching to begin the week of November 1st. 
• Drilling equipment to mobilize onsite Thursday November 3rd, or Friday November 4th. 

• Seattle City Light to set power pole in alley on Monday, October 24th. Expect alley closure with continued access to 999 Hiawatha parking garage. 
• Drilling equipment to mobilize onsite Thursday, October 27th. 

• Seattle City Light to set power poles in the alley on Monday, October 17^th. Expect alley closure with continued access to 999 Hiawatha parking garage.

• Trucks delivering backfill will enter the site the week of October 10th.

• Trucks will be delivering backfill into the site from S Charles St the week of October 3rd.

• Drilling equipment to mobilize onsite the week of October 10th. 

• Dewatering equipment delivered to site week of September 26^th.
• Pot holing in alley begins Thursday, September 29^th. Expect alley closure with continued access to 999 Hiawatha parking garage from Bush Pl.
• Temporary power poles to be installed week of October 3rd. Expect alley closure with continued access to 999 Hiawatha parking garage from Bush Pl.
• Lane and Sidewalk closure begins October 3^rd.

• Concrete crusher arriving Monday, September 19th. 
• Site cleanup in preparation for drilling and support equipment. 
• Equipment arrives September 26th. 
• Shoring along alley begins week of September 26th. 

• Demo of the upper level of the parking structure and sky bridge 
• Demo of parking structure slab and footings will commence Monday and run through next week
• Grubbing, removal of vegetation, and installation of temporary ramp from Charles into the pit will start Monday
• During the week of 9/19, a concrete grinder will be brought onsite
• Seattle City Light will install two temporary power poles and will offset the power line in the alley in the next two weeks.

• Equipment to mobilize on-site Thursday, September 1 and Friday, September 2
• Parking instruction demolition resumes Tuesday, September 6

Parking structure demolition will be delayed until 9/6 and the construction fence will be completed by the end of next week.

• 8/20 Crews to remove trees on Rainier Ave S - expect lane & sidewalk closure
• 8/22 Demolition team arrives on site to remove existing parking structure - construction fence will be installed.
